| Salmon sales dates

A Yakama tribal fisher lowers his dipnet into the Klickitat River
roiling beneath his scaffold.
The Columbia River Tribes have chosen to end the commercial
sale of salmon and steelhead caught in their mainstem Columbia River
fishery. The Yakama Nation has decided to allow the commercial sale
of coho and chinook caught in their fishery on the Klickatat
River. The best opportunity to buy these fish is to purchase
them directly from fishers on the Klickitat River.
Available fish during this time will be chinook and
coho. Sturgeon, sockeye, steelhead, walleye, shad, yellow perch,
bass, catfish, and carp sockeye are unavailable for sale.
Be sure to bring along a cooler with ice to safely
transport your fresh fish home.
